Oct. 7, 2026 – Today, we delve into the energy perspectives of Jonathan Kreiss-Tompkins (JKT) from the Magical World of JKT. His energy platform emphasizes renewable sources like wind and solar, reflecting a stance commonly held by many Democrats.
According to his campaign’s “What JKT Stands For” page, he advocates for a mix of renewable, hydro, and natural gas energies to lower utility costs for Alaskans. JKT has publicly stated, “I believe in wholesale investment in renewable energy and diversifying our energy sources and being more energy independent.” However, the reality is that renewables can be costlier and less dependable than other energy sources like coal. Notably absent from his energy discussions are mentions of coal or nuclear options, relying heavily instead on renewables.

Alaska has already fallen to the leftists. JKT proves this. We do have a good Congressman in Nick Begich and a fair Senator in Dan (S) Sullivan, but a lousy traitor in Murky and a leftist State Supreme Court.
Add to this is a pathetic Anchorage Assembly and Mayor. So, the arithmetic favors leftist rule.

Anyone that lists “renewables” like wind an solar as their top line item when it comes to power generation has no clue what they are talking about, they are simply parroting talking points that they were given. When “renewables” like wind and solar begin to oversaturate the electrical supply they inevitably lead to higher prices and blackouts like those seen in third world countries. In order to keep the electrical supply reliable and inexpensive, large generators that are dispatchable, have reliability and high capacity factors are required…”renewables” like wind an solar off none of these things.
