Oct. 9, 2026 – In this part of the series on Jonathan Kreiss-Tompkins, I delve into his educational proposals and their implications. The endorsements from NEA-Alaska and other teaching unions signal his priorities, which focus heavily on increased funding yet ignore critical factors contributing to Alaska’s failing public education system.
Kreiss-Tompkins outlines six main points on his campaign website, with five demanding additional funding and one addressing the removal of cell phones from classrooms. However, despite the call for funding, the negative correlation between education spending and student performance suggests that simply allocating more money may not yield better outcomes. Furthermore, there is an alarming trend of school boards prioritizing budget cuts that disproportionately impact popular programs and young teachers, raising questions about the true intent behind purported support for educational enrichment.

In the State of Alaska OFFICIAL ELECTION PAMPHLET, under Johnathan S. Kreiss-Tomkins he has a statement that says “the current governor has defunded our schools for nearly a decade.” This is an outright lie, how something like that is allowed to be printed in a state approved document is absurd.
Either JKT does not understand what words mean, he chooses to ignore that words have meaning, he’s lying, or he’s an outright idiot…I guess all could be true at the same time.

Chrissy, JKT is like Obama was in 2008. Obama had a brief run as Senator from Illinois then ran for president as a left-wing Democrat with a radical agenda. He was elected by a wave of young liberals who had never even before voted. It was a mass hypnotism of ideals and a promise of utopian agendas that shuttled him into the a White House. And the media never told us a thing about Obama until years later when we in finally learned of his true background.

JKT is the same thing. He couldn’t finish his college education. He’s leading the polls for governor. A little boy, apparently a homosexual, with an unknown background. Can’t we do better than him?

Does the little squirt from Sitka advocate dropping out of school? He couldn’t finish the job and get his college degree. Not impressed with him. Education, taxes, DEI, LGBTQ, radical climate action. JKT will be the ruination of Alaska if elected.
