Oct. 7, 2026 – After spending two days in the company of Vice President JD Vance during his visit to Fairbanks and Anchorage, I found myself reflecting on the invaluable support team that facilitated the entire event. The dedication of the staff, the advance team, and the Secret Service played a critical role, often unnoticed by the public but essential for success.
My experiences in political offices have taught me the importance of professionalism and the dynamics of internal office relations. Reports from former aides about Mary Peltola’s conduct raise serious concerns for me. Despite Peltola’s campaign’s denials about staff mistreatment, the contrasting manner in which Vance’s team operates has highlighted the vital nature of respectful interactions within political spaces. As a voter, understanding a candidate’s treatment of their staff can reveal much about their character.

Unfortunately, I can’t see Mary Peltola marching into the White House and confronting the President about anything! While in Congress she wasn’t a voice of reason while Biden poked the Russian Bear that led to the ongoing disaster in Ukraine. Where was her protest of the disproportionate killing of civilian women and children in Gaza under Biden’s watch? Why didn’t she walk into Biden’s office and demand that federal agencies reign in the Seattle based factory trawl fleet while it raped Alaskan waters with excessive bycatch of halibut, salmon, crab and blackcod? She may very well win this election, but it won’t be because she is a superior candidate. It will happen because independent voters who have been betrayed by Donald Trump’s actions the past year feel they have to punish someone and Dan Sullivan may become a victim of that reasoning, even though he may be the better advocate in Congress concerning Alaska issues. The Dems may sweep the mid-terms, but don’t expect anything substantive to change vis a vis our current foreign policy.

So your definition of a forever war is a shade over 7 months? Interesting definition. Good to know, though. I could make a strong case that the kinetic action in Iran starting the end of Feb was actually the first step in ending a war with Iran going on for 47 years. But who am I to disagree?
On a happier note, Trump did announce removal of all US troops from Iraq last week, which is an end to another long war, that one starting 2003, 23 years ago. You missed that one too.
And let’s not even consider pulling US troops out of Europe, on the continent since either 1944 (invasion of Italy) or 1947 at the start of the Cold War depending on how you count.
From here, appears that Trump is the great peacemaker, but that’s just me. Cheers –

I don’t care if an elected official has to use some discipline with their staff. We might not be in this forever war with Iran and saddled with these oppressive tariffs if we had Senators willing to challenge the President. I could see Mary Peltola storm into Trumps office and demand an explanation for both of those idiotic decisions. So if she used some rough language with Trump and Natalie we could understand it’s the way things get done. Ted Stevens could be prickly with his staff but they got over it! You can’t give every employee a gold star for their mundane efforts. Mary is not going to tolerate any half-assed efforts. 26 days until a new beginning in this country of ours. Buckle up!

Tina, I would suggest judge not lest ye be judged. I don’t know what Mary Peltola’s relationship is with Jesus Christ. I don’t presume. She may be a nasty person, or she may not be. Regardless I doubt her eternal soul and it’s disposition is any of my business. She will receive exactly what she deserves, hopefully tempered by the mercy of Christ. Our concerns here are with her behavior in life, not after it. So far, she shows me nothing good.

But. Let’s pity Peltola and all those worked with her and working for her campaign. If God didn’t show His grace toward her and tomorrow she was found dead, died in her sleep, she’d gone to hell, because I doubt she’d repent and accept Christ tonight before closing her eyes. Same thing with all those who currently work with her and those she mistreated, I doubt they too aren’t in Christ and if they died, they’d be in Hell with Peltola.
Being mistreated by an out of control supervisor is a whole lot better than closing your eyes to this world and opening to find a hideous demon dragging you to Hell because you died.
Peltola is pitiful while her leadership position with her supporters she leads a multitude of sheep to hell with her.

The only thing is today’s Left leaning employers/supervisors they don’t care about how they treat their team. In their eyes their team were hired as if they are Servants and their job is to get the job done by how the owner or supervisor wants it done. While Democrat business owners never know how the persons they hired as supervisors, they are oblivious how their management treats the team. Frankly! I doubt the Democrat business owner or the government employer cares how the hirelings mistreat team members who can’t really fight back and defend themselves without losing their job if they do.
We don’t live in Good times. Today’s generations are Selfish, Conceited, Rude, Arrogant. and Self centered.

It sounds like she is overdue for a major flush. Lets hold down the handle this time voters and send her downstream to her favorite fishing hole. Everyone with adult children needs to make sure their family is doing their civic duty by voting to keep the Republic healthy and thriving. We can no longer afford voter apathy as way too much is at stake when energy shortages are threatened with the left strangling the process we witnessed during the previous administration where Mary proudly proclaimed Joe Biden WAS the sharpest man she had ever met. Get out the vote.

Mary Peltola is a piece of disposable toilet paper in any other context. The Democrats dredged her out of obscurity because they had no one else to counter Dan S. Sullivan. With money and lots of media attention, the Democrats are counting on their indoctrinating and brainwashing methods to get her elected. That’s the only thing Democrats have in this election, because otherwise, Mary Peltola has nothing more to offer than a smeared piece of used toilet paper.
